wind tunnel.

I tried to fill
the hole,
but it remains
gaping

Like a jagged
harsh wind tunnel,
it’s loud and
painful.

I’ve rarely  flirted
with boredom –
a moment of nothing is
bliss –

but sometimes in
the boardroom,
daydreams overtake
me.

I’ve never tried
to replace you;
the space too far-reaching
and too abstract.

but I thought maybe
I could do it,
move on and
breathe.

I can’t remember
what it said;
But I remember
it meant I love you.
